Survival Laser II Special Edition 445nm Laser

The "laser components only", "Special Edition" (SE) version of the SL II. The Survival Laser II SE specs out at 2.2W (2,200mW) +/- 100mW peak optical output power at 445nm wavelength with the included high-efficiency G-2 lens.

The SL-002SEPB laser includes your choice of standard C6 or Survival Laser S4™black anodized aluminum host assembly with extended solid copper heat sink, (P/N SL-SLS4LHA), or Survival Laser Stainless Steel Host Assembly with extended and tapered copper copper heat sink (P/N SL-SLSS2LHA), solid copper diode module, 1.8A diode driver circuit with silicone insulated leads, G-2 lens assembly, external lens spring, silicone lens cap, a blue anodized extended focusing ring and a syringe of Arctic Silver™ Ceramique 2 high-performance thermal compound. The Survival Laser II SE incorporates the same modular, "no soldering required" basic design as the other Survival Lasers.

Only the best 445nm laser diodes will meet the lofty optical power specification of the SL II SE. Each diode is hand selected and bench tested with a LaserBee II laser power meter for acceptable power output at the design current level, and is tested once again after being assembled with the actual driver circuit.

A "total heatsinking solution" was designed for the Survival Laser II SE. This was especially important given the high output power of the diode and the small size of the laser host. A new extended copper heat sink was paired with a solid copper diode module and Arctic Silver™ Céramique 2 thermal compound to effectively transform the entire laser host into a heat sink.

Our new blue anodized extended focusing ring is supplied with the bundle to allow for easier and more precise focusing without burning your fingers. The blue focusing ring and extended copper heat sink profile gives the SL II SE a very unique and distinctive appearance.

The Survival Laser II SE operates for up to 30 minutes total time per charge with RCR123A rechargeable batteries, and can also use two larger 18650 batteries with the 18650 battery extension tube accessory to achieve longer total run times. The recommended duty cycle for the SL II SE is one minute on followed by two minutes off.

WARNING: Appropriate laser safety goggles protecting for the 445nm wavelength at an optical density of at least OD4 MUST be used with the assembled laser.
