1.25A Diode Driver Summary
This driver is a "buck" type switching power supply fixed current regulated diode driver circuit, delivering 1.25A +/- 50mA of regulated current at a recommended input voltage of 4.2 to 8.4 volts. It is suitable for use with 445nm blue as well as the new 635nm 500mW red Mitsubishi diodes. When used with a 445nm diode the optical output will be approximately 1-1.3W. The switching regulator IC chip has an efficiency as high as 91%, which means that no driver heat sinking is required. Driver circuit board is 16.8mm in diameter and fits P/N SL-PBR1 Pill & Brass Ring, which in turn fits the C6, Survival Laser S4 and Survival Laser stainless steel host assemblies. Lead wires are approximately 1" long.
Note: These drivers are 100% tested and have a layer of silicone adhesive applied to a critical area to prevent shorting against the brass ring typically used during installation in the driver pill.
CAUTION: We strongly recommend that you test any driver assembly with a "dummy load" to verify proper current output before attaching to a diode.

Another correction (sorry) - Giannis - Tuesday, November 26, 2019
Apparently that diode is there to provide some protection to the laser diode, not to provide revers pol protection
A small corection - Giannis - Monday, November 25, 2019
Apparently after going through the schematic it appears that a diode to combat reverse pol exists on the board I guess I had a random failure. Don't let that discourage you from buying this driver cause I have not seen anyone experiencing the same issue as me
Good enogh - Giannis - Monday, November 25, 2019
I got this driver and used it in a m140 build in a c6 host worked fine and its driving the diode like a charm, Sadly today I put in my lipo the wrong way and I discovered that the driver does not have reverse pol protection. Not having that important feature is not stated anywhere on the site but I have to give it credit where due it did not destroy the diode when it blew so i'd say good buy for the 6$!
