Conical Focus Adapter

The conical focus adapter is based on an original design made famous by LPF member 'FlaminPyro'. Our version of FP's conical adapter is precision-machined from aircraft grade aluminum and is intended for use with our stainless steel laser host assembly with the extended and tapered copper heat sink (SL-SS2LHA), the stainless steel host option for the laser parts bundles and the S4X host with the longer copper heat sinks. The focus adapter is designed specifically to work with a 405-G-1 lens, but may also be used with a standard 3-element lens by recessing the diode module within the heat sink. There is approximately a 1/32' gap between the focus adapter and the host body when using a G-1 lens focused to infinity and the diode module is flush with the end of the heat sink. This gap may be reduced by slightly recessing the diode module within the heat sink. Choice of clear or black anodizing. Clear anodizing coordinates well with the stainless steel host and the natural aluminum S4X host, while black anodize matches the S4X black anodized host.
