DIY 405nm Diode Summary

A 5.6mm diameter 405nm wavelength BDR-S06J 12X diode identical to those used in the SL-VPB and PBAR parts bundles. These diodes can produce up to 650mW optical output or more depending on current and lens used and individual diode efficiency. Typical current is 400-500mA, typical voltage is 6.0-6.2 volts. Packaged in an aluminized Mylar conductive plastic bag.

When combined with the 445mA buck driver and a G-2 these can output as much as 700mW. They pack a serious amount of burn and are great for engraving because of how well the dot can be focused into a hair thick dot at 6inches.
